Harris County is excited to announce the Rotary of Harris County’s 12th Shred and Recycle Day on Saturday, May 16th from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Harris County Courthouse parking lot in Hamilton.
This event provides an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of sensitive documents that need shredding, such as old tax records, financial statements, or other paperwork containing confidential information. Help prevent identity theft while cleaning out your home or office.
Also, in collaboration with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, there will be a medicine drop box on site to accept expired or unused medications for disposal in a safe manner and help prevent misuse or accidental poisonings.
Accepted Materials:
- Personal documents (no plastic or metal – staples are okay)
- Expired or unused prescription (no needles or liquids)
This is a free, community service, so come out and take advantage of this opportunity to safely dispose of these items.
