With Georgia being a major filming destination, Harris County became a Georgia Camera Ready designated community in 2011 to ensure the county has a local film-friendly liaison to act as an extension of the Georgia Film Office, Department of Economic Development and to assist location managers and producers in locating perfect filming locations. Harris County has many unique locations in which to film including mountains, lakes, small rural downtowns, farmland, historic courthouse and other historic structures, large commercial resort with garden amenities, small airport, many extras, and catering companies.
