The Harris County Board of Tax Assessors will be mailing the 2025 Annual Notice of Assessment to all county property owners on or about June 24, 2025. The assessment notice will look different this year. The upper section of the notice has remained the same, but the lower portion will be different due to legislative changes that went into effect this year.

If you want to appeal your property’s assessed value, please visit the Tax Assessor’s Office website at http://qpublic.net/ga/harris/ and download the Appeal of Assessment form located on the “Forms” page. Once the form is completed and signed, either mail it to the Tax Assessor’ Office at P.O. Box 445, Hamilton, Georgia 31811, email it to taxassessors@harriscountyga.gov, or drop it off at their office located at 102 N College Street, Hamilton, GA by the deadline date of August 8, 2025. The Notice of Assessment that you will be receiving is not a property tax bill and please do not send any payments. The actual property tax bill will be sent by the Tax Commissioner’s Office during early October with property taxes due by December 20. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
