Harris County continues to update its development code and recently conduced a “Big Idea” meeting October, 22 at the Library. This joint meeting between the Board of Commissioners, Planning Commission members, and the county’s consultant, Wood, provided a detailed overview of the input received from the public engagement efforts that have occurred so far and gave a proposed approach to address key issues and needs that have been identified. This meeting provided guidance and clarity to confirm how major issues should be addressed in the draft document.
Currently, a first draft of the new code is being prepared.
