County Purchases Two Garbage Trucks

Harris County government has purchased two replacement garbage trucks and they have been delivered. The new 2021 Peterbuilt rear loading garbage trucks will be placed into service during the week of May 24, 2021. The two old garbage trucks will be disposed of through an online auction. The new garbage trucks cost $167,000 each and were paid from Solid Waste fees. The new trucks will be an asset to the Solid Waste fleet to keep the fleet modern and efficient.
