The Parks & Recreation Department will be improving Pate Park by adding a new $100,000 playground behind ball field #1. The new playground is scheduled to be installed by the end of August. Also, the two tennis courts at Pate Park will be rehabilitated and resurfaced including new posts, nets, and benches for $20,000. The tennis courts will be ready for play by late July. These improvements to Pate Park are being funded by SPLOST-2004.
