Harris County recently celebrated the opening of a new Mercer Medical Clinic. This new medical facility, operated by the Mercer University School of Medicine, offers on-site primary care services including x-rays, lab testing, immunizations, telehealth, among other services. This community improvement project was a joint partnership among the Board of Commissioners, Board of Education, Mercer University School of Medicine, and countless public donations. Mercer Medical leased the county’s former library, renovated that outdated facility, and now operates a state-of-the-art clinic with Mercer medical professionals. Mercer’s other rural medical facilities are located in Macon, Plains, Peach County, Clay County, and Putnam County.
