INVITATION TO BID ON SURPLUS PROPERTY OF 3.29 ACRES LOCATED ON SR 85 IN THE ELLERSLIE COMMUNITY

Harris County Board of Commissioners is soliciting bids for sale of 3.29 acres, located on SR 85 in the Ellerslie community, which has been declared to be surplus property of the County. This sale is pursuant to OCGA 36-9-3 and will be a minimum bid of $30,000.00. Sale will be of the entire lot and is not divisible. Bid documents, which include the bid form to be used in submitting a bid, may be obtained by contacting Nancy McMichael, County Clerk at 706-628-4958, at the office of the Harris County Board of Commissioners located at 104 North College Street, Hamilton, or via e-mail at nmcmichael@harriscountyga.gov. Bid envelopes, containing the completed Bid Form, must be sealed, bear the notation “BID: 3.29 ACRE PARCEL”, be addressed to the attention of County Clerk, and be received at the office of the Harris County Commissioners, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811-0365 by 2:00 PM local time on Monday, March 23, 2020, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The sale will be to the highest responsible bidder and shall be by cashier’s check or money order; no personal checks or cash accepted. Harris County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
