Harris County government welcomes new Chief Financial Officer, Clint Chastain. Mr. Chastain began work with the county’s Finance Department during March 2017 under contract with Severn Trent and has now transferred to full-time employment with the county as of August 1. Mr. Chastain has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University and has 13 years of public sector accounting experience serving as Finance Director/City Clerk for the City of Thomaston, Assistant Controller, Controller, and Interim Director of Financial Services for Gordon State College in Barnesville, staff accountant for Mauldin & Jenkins, CPA, and staff auditor for the Georgia Department of Audits. Mr. Chastain will be a great asset to the Harris County management team.
