The Harris County Board of Commissioners will receive sealed bids for Airport Entrance Road Project in the Harris County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 104 North College Street, Hamilton, Georgia 31811, until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at which time and place all bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids must be submitted on the complete project and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Harris County Board of Commissioners, Attn: Nancy McMichael, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811. Bidders must submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of the bid.
This project can generally be described as the installation of a new asphalt roadway in the approximate location of an existing gravel roadway and the associated grading, drainage, erosion control, and marking requirements for the roadway installation.
A non-mandatory, informational Pre-Bid Conference for prospective bidders is to be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at the Terminal Building of the Harris County Airport, 789 Sky Meadow Drive, Pine Mountain, GA. Questions may be submitted to Christine Schultz, PE, Pond & Company, at schultzc@pondco.com until 5:00 PM, Monday, September 10, 2018.
Contract documents are available for review at Harris County Board of Commissioners, 104 North College Street, Hamilton, GA. Bid documents must be obtained from the engineer, Pond & Company, by contacting Christine Schultz, PE, at 678-336-7740 or schultzc@pondco.com upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of thirty dollars ($30)for a printed set or fifteen dollars ($15) for an electronic secured set in PDF format. An additional fifty-five dollars ($55) will be charged for FedEx overnight delivery, if mailing is required and no shipping account is provided.
Harris County reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner’s best interest.
