Harris County is accepting proposals from professional and qualified companies located in Georgia with substantial experience in land use planning in rural and suburban areas and knows Georgia’s planning laws for the review, update and modernization of the County’s existing land development ordinances and regulations to prepare a unified development code or other product that will suit the County’s needs and be consistent with the recently adopted Comprehensive Master Plan. RFQ documents can be obtained by contacting Nancy McMichael, County Clerk, at nmcmichael@harriscountyga.gov with subject line “RFQ Planning Services”. Inquiry deadline is 5:00 PM, Friday, October 4, 2019. Responses, consisting of one (1) original and five (5) complete copies of all bid documents, shall be sealed and bear the notation “RFQ for Planning Services”, be addressed to the attention of the County Clerk, and be received at the office of the Harris County Commissioners, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811-0365 by 2:00 PM on Friday, October 18, 2019, at which time only the names of the responding companies will be read. It is the responsibility of the responder to ensure that their response arrives at the proper location by the time indicated. Facsimile, e-mail, telephone or late responses will not be accepted or considered. Harris County reserves the right to reject any or all responses.
