Board of Commissioners Approves Updated Sign Ordinance

The Harris County Board of Commissioners approved an updated sign ordinance during their January 15, 2019 commission meeting. The previous basic sign ordinance was updated to be more comprehensive, offer more clarity, and easier to enforce. The county’s updated sign ordinance only covers the unincorporated areas of the county and does not apply to the cities.  Sign permit fees did not change.
