Board Approves Phase V of the Man O’ War Railroad Recreation Trail

During the April 5, 2022 commission meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved Piedmont Paving from Newnan, Georgia to pave Phase V of the Man O’ War Railroad Recreation Trail from the Callaway Country Store, on top of Pine Mountain, to slightly south of Hamilton, an additional 5.4 miles. Piedmont Paving submitted the low bid of $1,365,074.35 out of a total of six bidders. This project is being funded from county TSPLOST funds and construction is scheduled to begin during May and be completed during November 2022. Once Phase V is completed, the trail will consist of 10 miles of paving.
