During the February 7, 2023 commission meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved Robinson Paving from Columbus, Georgia to pave Phase VI of the Man O’ War Railroad Recreation Trail an additional 3.15 miles from just south of Hamilton to about 200 feet north of Mulberry Creek. Robinson Paving submitted the low bid of $1,166,189.30 out of a total of four bidders. This project is being funded from county TSPLOST funds and construction is scheduled to begin during March and be completed during August 2023. With this addition, the entire trail will be a total of 13.5 miles.
