County Purchases New Fire Truck for Hopewell VFD

A new 2018 Freightliner/Pierce fire truck has been delivered to the Hopewell Volunteer Fire Department. The new two-door, three-person fire truck has a 2,100-gallon poly tank, a 1,500-gallon per minute pump, and an assortment of hoses and equipment. The $313,000 fire truck was purchased using SPLOST-2014 funds and Hopewell VFD funds. The new truck is a great addition to the VFD fleet and is scheduled to be fully operational during January.
