County to Improve Solid Waste Transfer Station

The Board of County Commissioners, during their June 7, 2022 commission meeting, approved the construction of various improvements to the Solid Waste Transfer Station located on Barnes Mill Road in Hamilton. Principle Construction from LaGrange, Georgia submitted the low bid of $1,273,000. The improvements will consist of employee work space and restrooms, several pole barns to park equipment, wash-down area, security fencing, and gravel employee parking. The project will be funded by the Solid Waste Fund and is scheduled to be completed during early 2023.
