On Monday, July 08, 2019 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church located at 5122 Pierce Chapel Road, Midland, GA 31820, the Georgia Department of Transportation TIA program will hold a Public Information Open House concerning the project listed above.
This project proposes to widen the existing 2-lane and 3-lane SR 1/US 27 to a 4-lane section with a 4-foot flush median from Turnberry Lane in Muscogee County to just north of East Bonacre Road in Harris County, then overlay the existing roadway to SR 315 in Cataula. The SR 315 intersection with SR 1/US 27 is proposed to be a new location roundabout.
The purpose of this Location and Public Information Open House is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project.
The Open House will be held from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. It will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.
