Harris County Welcomes Two New County Commissioners

Harris County government has two newly elected county commissioners effective January 1, 2019. Rob Grant  (Post 2) replaces Jim Woods and Andrew Zuerner  (Post 1) replaces Martha Chewning who both chose not to run again. Commissioners Zuerner and Grant were both sworn in at a brief ceremony immediately prior to the January 2, 2019 commission meeting. Their terms of office began January 1, 2019 and will continue for four years until December 31, 2022.
