The Harris County Board of Commissioners invites interested parties to submit sealed bids for the purchase a 10+/- acre parcel of land on Whitesville Street, West Point, Georgia. Minimum bid $10,000. Bid documents, which must be used in submitting a bid, may be found on-line at www.harriscountyga.gov or by contacting Nancy McMichael, County Clerk, via email at nmcmichael@harriscountyga.gov using the subject line “Sealed Bid Whitesville Street”. Bids must be sent to the attention of Nancy McMichael, County Clerk, and received at the office of the Harris County Board of Commissioners, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811-0365 by 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid envelope must be sealed and bear the notation “BID: Whitesville Street Property”. Bids must be accompanied by a bid assurance check in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a cashier’s check, certified check, or money order made payable to the County. No personal checks or cash will be accepted. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that their bid arrives at the proper location by the time and date indicated. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted or considered. Responses received after the deadline date will be returned unopened to the bidder. Note that some express mail and delivery services do not guarantee overnight delivery to Harris County. Harris County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
