INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that Harris County, Georgia, hereafter referred to as Owner, will receive sealed bids on a General Contract for Harris County Solid Waste Disposal Site Improvements, in duplicate, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 104 N College Street, Hamilton, Georgia 31811, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner.
Under this project, the Contractor must furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, etc., necessary to construct the building and complete all site work, more specifically, the work shall consist of completing all work required in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings titled “Harris County Solid Waste Improvements, Hamilton, Georgia” and dated “March 28, 2022″. Project is to be completed by December 31, 2022.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on site (4070 Barnes Mill Road, Hamilton, GA) at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Bidders not represented at the pre-bid conference will not be permitted to submit a bid.
Bid documents may be obtained from Hecht Burdeshaw Architects (706-323-1814, vwilliams@hechtburdeshaw.com, 8 – 11th Street, Suite 300, Columbus, Georgia 31902) via electronic link. Applications for bid documents should be filed promptly with the Architects. Bidding material will be forwarded as soon as possible. No partial documents will be issued. Bid will not be considered by Owner unless the Bidder is on record with Hecht Burdeshaw Architects, as having received a complete set of Bidding Documents.
All bids must be on a lump sum basis; no segregated bid will be accepted.
All prospective bidders will be required to have on file with the Owner, fifteen (15) days prior to bid date, an executed “Contractor’s Qualification Statement”, AIA Document A305, latest edition.
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time and date of opening of bids.
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Bids must be submitted on the bid forms as indicated in the specifications.
Performance and Payment Bonds will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the Contract Sum.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities in the bidding.
