INVITATION TO BID
Notice is hereby given that Harris County, Georgia, hereafter referred to as Owner, will receive sealed bids on a General Contract for Harris County Water Works Administration Building, in duplicate, at 2:30 PM on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 104 N College Street, Hamilton, Georgia 31811, at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after said time and date will not be considered by the Owner.
Under this project, the Contractor must furnish all labor, tools, materials, equipment, etc., necessary to construct the building and complete all site works, more specifically, the work shall consist of a 4,346 sf single-story building and associated site development to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and construction drawings entitled “Construction Documents” and dated “April 11, 2022″. Project is to be completed by January 31, 2023.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on site (11505 Georgia Highway 315, Cataula, GA) at 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Bidders not represented at the pre-bid conference will not be permitted to submit a bid.
Plans, specifications and bid documents must be obtained from 2WR, (Scott Allen, scott@2wrarch.com, 11 Ninth Street, Suite 120, Columbus, GA 31901. Bid will not be considered by Owner unless the Bidder is on record with 2WR Architects, as having received a complete set of Bidding Documents.
All bids must be on a lump sum basis; no segregated bid will be accepted.
All prospective bidders will be required to have on file with the Owner, fifteen (15) days prior to bid date, an executed “Contractor’s Qualification Statement”, AIA Document A305, latest edition.
No bids may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the time and date of opening of bids.
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Bids must be submitted on the bid forms as indicated in the specifications.
Performance and Payment Bonds will be required by the successful bidder in the full amount of the Contract Sum.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities in the bidding.
