Searcy Appointed Harris County EMS Director

Quincy “Bucky” Searcy has been appointed as the county’s EMS Director effective September 16, 2019. Mr. Searcy has been with the Harris County EMS Department since May 2000 and has served in many capacities including EMT, Cardiac Technician, Paramedic, Supervisor, Assistant EMS Director, and now EMS Director. During Mr. Searcy’s career, he graduated from Georgia Southern University’s EMS Leadership Program and has earned numerous certifications including Level III Paramedic Instructor. As the new EMS Director, Mr. Searcy will focus on numerous issues to improve the department including continuing to increase EMS revenues, planning for population growth, further developing EMS staff through additional training and building positive relationships with other local, state, and federal agencies. Mr. Searcy will continue to be an asset to the Harris County team.
