Soccer Complex to Get Outdoor Lighting

The Harris County commissioners, during their January 5, 2021 meeting, approved to install outdoor lighting on the practice fields and one game field at the county’s soccer complex, located on SR 116. The light fixtures were acquired by the Youth Soccer Association and donated to the county. The county will be installing new LED bulbs in the fixtures and adhering the fixtures to new wooden poles. The low bidder for this project was Southern Electrical Contractors for a cost of $99,697. This project is scheduled to begin after the Spring soccer season ends and before the Fall soccer season begins and be completed by June 30, 2021.The county and the Youth Soccer Association will be collaborating on installing light fixtures on the remainder of the game fields in the future.
