INVITATION TO BID
Sealed Bids. Harris County is accepting sealed bids for all material, labor and equipment necessary for the “Stream Re-route for Daesol Material Facility”, which includes stream re-route, erosion control and final stabilization as shown on the plans and called for in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications. Bids shall be in Lump Sum Price. The project shall be Substantially Complete with 90 (ninety) calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed of the contract.
Submission. Bids, sent to the attention of County Clerk, shall be received until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at the Harris County Board of Commissioners’ Office, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time and date will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn with 60 (sixty) days after the time and date of bid opening. All interested parties are invited to attend the bid opening.
Pre-Bid Meeting. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM local time, in the Conference Room of the Commissioners’ Office, 104 North College Street, Hamilton, GA.

The Issuing Office of the bidding documents is Goodwyn, Mills & Cawood, Inc., 2660 East Chase Lane, Suite 200, Montgomery, AL 36117, Attn: Lanita Evans (334) 271-3200. Documents may be examined at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All bidders are required to purchase Bidding Documents, Specifications and Drawings from the Issuing Office upon non-refundable payment of $100.00. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither owner nor engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Required with Bid. Bidders shall submit with their bid information regarding two (2) stream relocation projects of similar or larger size within the last ten (10) years. Each bidder is required to submit a “Bid Form”, “Bid Bond”, “Form of Qualification of Bidder”, “Non-Collusion Affidavit”, and “Immigration and Security Form” as outlined in Section 00250. Each Bidder must deposit with their bid, security in the amount of 5% of the total bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in Section 00200 “INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS”.
This contract is locally funded. The Harris County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, or to reject any or all bids and re-advertise.
