A new playground has been installed behind ball field #1 and the two tennis courts have been resurfaced and are ready for play at Pate Park. The new playground has swings, slides, climbing, merry go round, and balancing amenities for ages 2-12. The two resurfaced and lighted tennis courts have new posts, nets, benches, and painted blue with green trim similar to the US Open tennis courts. These improvements to Pate Park were funded by SPLOST-2004.
