County Airport Runway Closed for Repairs

The Harris County airport’s runway will be closed beginning February 26 until 6:00 p.m. March 15, 2024 for major repairs. Specifically, the 5,000-foot runway lighting will be replaced with modern LED fixtures. This airport improvement project is funded in the current airport budget at a total cost of $550,060 with the federal share being $495,054, state share being $27,503, and the county’s share being $27,503.
