Harris County recently received $3.4M in federal American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds. These funds can be used in numerous ways including to support public health responses, address negative economic impacts, premium pay for essential workers, payroll expenses for public health and public safety employees, replace public sector revenue loss, water and sewer infrastructure, and broadband.
After many meetings and thoughtful discussion, the Board formally approved the use of these federal funds during their October 5, 2021 commission meeting. See the link below for those uses.
