The Board of County Commissioners approved, during their February 20, 2024 commission meeting, resurfacing 4.1 miles of Ripshin Road from East Bon Acre Road to Warm Springs Road.
Robinson Paving of Columbus, Georgia was the lowest bidder at $983,372.70. Funding for this road resurfacing project was budgeted and will come from the annual Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) allocation from the state of $890,597.63 (90.6%) and the balance of $92,775.07 (9.4%) will come from local TSPLOST funds.
Resurfacing of Ripshin Road is scheduled to be completed by June 30, 2024. For more information about this road project, contact the Public Works Dept. at 706-628-5850.
