County to Upgrade Water Line on SR 315

The Board of County Commissioners, during their December 3, 2019 regular meeting, approved a bid to upgrade approximately 2,500 linear feet of 6 inch water line to 12 inches on SR 315 beginning about 500 feet east of Mountain Hill Road and extending 2,500 feet to almost I-I85. Gordy Construction Company of Fortson, Georgia was the low bidder at $249,373. The project, funded by the county’s Water Works Department, is scheduled to start in late December and be completed by mid-February 2020.
