The Harris County Board of Commissioners invites interested parties to submit sealed bids for the purchase of any or all of 24 parcels of land within the Melody Lakes subdivision and other areas. Bid documents, which must be used in submitting a bid, may be obtained by contacting Nancy McMichael, County Clerk, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org using the subject line “Sealed Bid 24 Parcels” or phone at 706-628-4958. Bids must be to the attention of Nancy McMichael, County Clerk, and received at the office of the Harris County Board of Commissioners, 104 North College Street, PO Box 365, Hamilton, GA 31811-0365 by 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bid envelope must be sealed and bear the notation “BID: 24 PARCELS”. Bids must be accompanied by a bid assurance check in the amount of 10% of the total bid in the form of a cashier’s check or money order. No personal checks or cash will be accepted. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure that their bid arrives at the proper location by the time and date indicated. Faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted or considered. Responses received after the deadline date will be returned unopened to the bidder. Note that some express mail and delivery services do not guarantee overnight delivery to Harris County. Harris County reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
