A new 2017 Freightliner/Pierce fire truck has been delivered to the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department. The new two-door, three-person fire truck has a 1,000-gallon poly tank, a 1,500-gallon per minute pump, and an assortment of hoses and equipment. The $322,000 fire truck was purchased using SPLOST-2014 funds and Ellerslie VFD funds. The new truck is a great addition to the VFD fleet and is scheduled to be operational during December.
