The Harris County Board of Commissioners’ proposed FY 2022-23 annual budget is available for public review. The proposed budget is available at the county administration building located at 104 N. College Street in Hamilton, GA during normal business hours and on the county’s website, www.harriscountyga.gov
The Board of County Commissioners will conduct three budget workshops and two budget public hearings regarding the proposed budget according to the schedule below:
- Budget Workshop #1 – Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
- Budget Workshop #2 – Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
- Budget Workshop #3 – Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
- Budget Workshop #4 – Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd
- Budget Public Hearing #1 – Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
- Budget Public Hearing #2 – Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
- Budget Adoption – Tuesday, June 21, 2022 after public hearing #2 at the Courthouse, 2nd Floor.
All of these meetings are public meetings. The two public hearings are for the public to make comments on the proposed budget. To submit comments on the proposed budget prior to the public hearings, email your comments to the email link below.
